Darren was the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident on July 27, 2006, along Route 981 near Saltsburg, Pennsylvania. He did not have a will and his family has endured even more stress and heartache in settling his estate. The Darren Cignetti Memorial Poker Run is intended to raise money to provide a trust fund for his only son, Nickolaus, so that he may go to college when he graduates high school and to assist Darren's family with settling his estate.
